Organize Tips for Email
Email Organize Tip 1
A major recommendation, one that I wish I had when I got
started using the Internet, is that when you subscribe to
receiving information from various websits, that you use
an alternative email address to the one you use for
personal friends and contacts. This helps to reduce spam
and general overwhelm.
Email Organize Tip 2
Keep your personal email separate to your subscriptions by
creating a filter that sends every email you get to that
email address into a dedicated 'subscriptions' or
'registrations' folder.
Email Organize Tip 3
Spend a short while every day or so quickly reviewing the
emails you get, but don't worry too much about reading
them as you can catch up when ever you want to. Unsubscribe
from any you really have no interest in or allow them to
strore in a mailbox for future reference.
For topics that are more important to you, stick to
reading them regularly. Add a different email filter to
capture these ones you are more interested in.
Organize Tips for Download Files
Downloads Organize Tip 1
I recommend creating a folder on your computer called
Downloads and then moving every single download file into
that one folder. Then you'll atleast know where
everything is.
Downloads Organize Tip 2
Set your download software to add anything new you
download into your main Downloads folder. And keep the
downloads folder in your My Documents. That way you'll
easily be able to get to it.
Downloads Organize Tip 3
Then create folders within that folder. I have folders
in my Downloads folder called 'Cool stuff', 'Games'
'Internet Marketing', 'Main', 'Net stuff', 'Other',
'Graphic Design', 'Intelligence', 'Media', 'Network
Marketing', 'System stuff'.
Yours will not be the same as mine but that list probably
gives you some good ideas.
Then start to drag and drop your downloads into those few
different folders. By categorizing things in this way
you'll gain a lot more perspective on all those things
you download from the net, and be able to find them much
easier when you need them in future.
