Create A Wall Clutch Bouquet For Your Home

Decide what floral scheme you want to follow. Decide what
color scheme you want. Look at your wall space and get an
idea of overall size.
Choose your floral stems to your liking. Remember you want
to have diversity in size to keep your arrangement
interesting. I like to choose maybe 3-4 different kinds
of flowers, with 1-2 different kinds of greens, and a nice
filler flower to accent and fill your arrangement.
You will want to choose a ribbon to tie your clutch
arrangement with. Choose a color that will compliment your
flowers, and a width of ribbon that wont overpower the
flowers. I like a ribbon approximately 1 1/2 inches wide,
or smaller if you're filling a small wall space.
Start with a few pieces of your greens. Lay on a table or
hold just them in your hand. Now take one of your larger
flowers and place it so the tip of the flower is just over
the highest piece of green. Now place another piece of the
same flowers about 1/3 of the way down on the right side
and another 1/3 lower on the left side. Take another kind
of flower and place one stem in the middle and one just
over in height and under in placement of the flower on the
left. Now, place one more on top and just under the head of
the larger flower on the right. Use small flower stems to
fill any holes. Think of the shape in a trellis or fanshape
just elongated. Use a fill flower such as Babys breath to
accent and fill any spaces you have left. Most all silk
flowers have wires in thier stems, so after you tie your
arrangement bend any stems you need to, to re-arrange.
If you are laying this on the table to arrange, pick up the
pile carefully and again add fill anywhere it looks
thin. Have your ribbon, or a florist wire handy to wrap
around the stems just under the lowest flowers. If using
wire, twist the wire very tight so your flowers dont move.
If you are not using wire, you may want to slide your
ribbon under the arrangement before picking it up. Again,
make sure you tie the arrangement tight so it does not blow
apart. If your arrangement moves a little during this
process, simply tuck in a little filler where needed. A
light finishing nail or push pin will help hold this on the
wall.
